Kindroot was founded by Alisa Pospekhova, a health and wellness enthusiast, avid yogi, and then-aspiring herbalist. Having felt the transformative power of holistic nutrition and plant-based supplements for management of her own auto-immune condition, she set out to develop a line of fun and accessible supplements that people would actually look forward to taking. The result was Adaptogems, lozenges that help the body balance while adapting to and resisting negative effects of stress.
In “Nurturing a Business and Nurturing Yourself,” Alisa will share how blending her professional experience with her personal interests led her to build a company in the wellness industry, from idea to launch.
Prior to serving as CEO of Kindroot, Alisa spent fifteen years building and managing healthy food, wellness, and beauty brands across the globe, holding senior-level marketing positions at Unilever, The Wonderful Company, Nestle and Manduka Yoga. Victoria Dombroski is a holistic health coach, yoga and meditation instructor, reiki practitioner, and professional dancer. She received her health coaching certification through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training through Ruh Yoga of Bangalore, India. She currently works privately with clients in all of the above both virtually and in Los Angeles, teaches corporate yoga and meditation, and conducts Wellness in the Workplace workshops for organizations looking to provide their employees with tools for stress & anxiety management.
